FAQ's
How much does a class cost?
We have a pass to fit your needs. Please click here for details.
How often should I exercise?
If you are new to exercise, begin with 2-3 classes a week and gradually add classes. To increase your fitness level, work out 4-5 times per week.
Can I come to Circuit with my regular pass?
Yes! All classes that we offer are Jazzercise classes, and they are all included in your pass purchase. Jazzercise offers different formats to enhance your workout experience, for people pressed for time, or people new to exercise. Try a format you don't know, and you may just discover your new favorite. In Folsom, all passes (including LITE) are good for all classes that are open to the public in Folsom.
Is there a membership fee, or contract to sign?
Our joining fee is $25.
There are no long-term commitments. If you are on a weekly pass, it will expire, if you are on EFT, you may cancel by the 15th to stop it by the end of the month. If you return to class within 3 months, I will waive the joining fee for you. High school and college students (with student ID) are exempt from the joining fee.
What are the instructors' credentials?
Jazzercise instructors participate in an intensive screening process as well as training and certification program, and are CPR certified. Instructors also continue their education in all aspects of dance and physiology to keep abreast of the latest developments in fitness.
May I bring drinks and food to a class?
We recommend Jazzercisers bring a non-breakable water bottle with a lid to class. Prevent accidents and spillage by keeping drinks out of the way of other Jazzercisers. No food or gum, please.
Do I need weights?
Weights are optional for new customers. We recommend you familiarize yourself with the basic exercises and techniques before using light (3-5lb.) weights. At the Rotary Club House, you may borrow weights from us until you are ready to get your own.
Do I need special clothes or equipment?
Any loose, comfortable clothes are fine. Most people wear bike shorts or jazz pants and a bra top or T-shirt. Bring along a towel or exercise mat for the floor work. Good, rubber-soled aerobic shoes are recommended. At the Rotary Club House mats may be borrowed until you are ready to get your own.
Can I bring my teenage daughter?
By all means bring her. Any participant should be able to participate in the entire class, however. We have had students as young as 8 years old do fine in a regular class. It really depends on the maturity of the child. If you bring a child younger than 16, we ask that you stay and exercise with her, just to see how it goes.
What are those "rubber bands" all about?
We call the "rubber bands" "Exertubes". They are specially designed equipment for resistance training. We use them in Circuit classes, and sometimes, to enhance your strength training workout, in regular Jazzercise class.
